Hostal Refugio del Rio

Distance from office: 0.1km/0.06miles – From $13 (dorm) – $38 (private) – Known to many as a “luxury hostel,” this is a pleasant oasis known for its comfortable common areas and the beautiful river that flows through it. Refugio del Rio is only a few minutes walk to the center of town, and offers very nice amenities and affordable prices for both its dorm and its 11 private rooms. Bambuda Castle

Distance from office: 4.2km/2.6miles – $15 and up – For a unique experience of a privately built castle turned hostel, this retreat in the mountains offers a young and active experience for backpackers wanting some party time.

La Jungla Experience Hostel

Distance from office: 6.6km/4.1miles – $12 and up – The La Jungla Experience offers an affordable and comfortable hostel option with excellent hosts. The large house turned hostel provides numerous lounging areas, a kitchen for use, and comfortable beds in the dorm room and private room. It is easy to get cheap transport (colectivo taxi or bus) for around 60 cents into downtown Boquete.

Mamellena Hostel

Distance from office: 0.2km/0.1miles – $15 and up – Mamallena Hostel is one of the more established hostels in Boquete, with a central location on the main park. It has a party atmosphere so be ready to stay up into the wee hours with the other guests.

Hostal Boquete Riverfront Inn

Distance from office: 0.4km/0.2miles – $30-40 – For those who enjoy the simple pleasures, this is a great alternative. You will sleep great at an affordable rate in one of their private rooms with private bathrooms, overlooking the Caldera River.

Pension Topas

Distance from office: 0.4km/0.2miles – $14-40 – Offering an outdoor pool, Pension Topas is located 300 meters from the center of town. The 7 simple rooms at this property feature wooden decor, a cable TV, a small wardrobe and a shared or private bathroom. Some have views of the property’s tropical gardens. El Machico Hostel
