Boquete Outdoor Adventures 2008 CLASS III / IV Trip Details
Water levels can vary greatly during the rainy season. We have access to over 35 runs in the Chiriqui province and our itineraries vary according to water levels. This trip is mostly class III runs with the occasional class IV rapid mixed in.

Day 1: Arrive in Panama City. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to a hotel in Panama City.
Day 2: We will catch an early flight to David, the provincial capital of Chiriqui. From there, we will make a quick stop at the lodge, outfit our boats and do a warm up run on the Lower Rio Majagua. This section is class II/III.
Day 3: Since we have down the lower, time to step it up a little and do the Upper Rio Majagua. This section is more of a creek at the top with plenty of class III action.
Day 4: We head to the Witches section of the Rio Chiriqui. This run is class III/IV with one large Class IV at the end. The rapids are beautiful boulder gardens, nicely spaced out.
Day 5: We make a bit of a drive to the Rio Gariché. This crystal clear river runs through a series of beautiful gorges. This run is a great time to spot monkeys and orchids.
Day 6: Today we go for big water. We head to the Rio Chiriqui Viejo to do the lowest section of the river, the Sabo section. The rapids are class III / III+ depending on the water level.
Day 7: Another close river, the Toy section of the Rio Caldera. This section is full of class III and class IV rapids.
Day 8: This is our last day of paddling. We will do the Town section of the Rio Caldera. This is a short class III run, perfect for doing more than one run for those who still have the energy. After taking out, we head back to lodge, pack our bags and catch an afternoon flight back to Panama City.
Day 9: We deliver you to the airport for your return flight
