Sea Kayaking Seasons in Panama
The rainy season
The rainy season generally lasts from May to December. In the morning, the sky is clear and the weather warm. It usually begins to rain between noon and 2pm and the rain can last into the evening. Nights are particularly cool at higher elevations.
The dry season
The dry season generally begins in December and lasts until May or so. On the Pacific slope, where we base the majority of our adventures, the dry season is warm, with lots of sunshine and very little rain other than a light mist called Bajareque (found at higher elevations). On the Caribbean side however, the dry season is less distinct, as it still rains occasionally in the afternoons and evenings.
