2008 Custom Group Two-Week Itinerary (16 Days)
Every custom trip is different. Your private group is unique. Your trip will reflect your group’s lodging and dining preferences, desires, goals and budget.
The following itinerary is one that we provided for a summer camp based in the US. The group’s budget made it necessary to emphasize affordability while simultaneously including some amazing destinations and activities. DAY 1
Arrive in Panama City. We will meet you at the airport.
Lodging: Hostal de Clayton in Panama City.
Meals: US flights typically arrive late at night, after dinner. We can provide late-night snacks upon request.
DAY 2
Tour Miraflores locks and day hike in Soberania National Park.
Guide: Iann Sanchez, one of Panama’s most renowned naturalists and guides

Lunch: packed
Dinner: Norberto will cook a traditional Panamanian cena over a fire.
DAY 3
Paddle on Lake Gatun, the main canal of Panama Canal.

Breakfast: Norberto will prepare a typical Panamanian desayuno.

DAY 4
After we pack up, we head to Santa Clara and camp on the beach.

DAY 5
Spend part of the day at the beach, then head to Santa Fe. Kayaks will be available for ocean surfing.

DAY 6
Early start, transport into Calovebora and begin hike.

Day hiking in Calovebora.

Hike out of Calovebora, transport back to Santa Fe, drive to Boquete.

DAY 9
Day off relaxing at the Lodge or in Boquete. This is a great day for kids to send emails, make phone calls, etc.

DAY 10
Service Project. Mangrove reforestation. Departure from small fishing village, Pedregal.

DAY 11
Hike Los Quetzales Trail and camp alongside the trail in cloud forest.

DAY 12
Hike out of the park, climb in the vehicle and head toward Rio Chiriqui Viejo for a heart-pounding rafting trip. After the rafting trip, we’ll drive to Santa Catalina

DAY 13
Take boat to Isla Coiba. Exploring, playing, snorkeling and hiking on island.

Full day on Isla Coiba. Snorkeling and hiking, visit old penal colony.

DAY 15
In the morning, take the panga back to Santa Catalina, drive to Panama City, stop at a Playa Blanca along the way.
