Day 1:
Waterfall Hike In Falling Waters Nature Reserve. Coffee Farm Tour: Tasting & Roasting
We’ll meet you and your group at the airport or bus station in David, Panama in the morning and drive to Boquete. We will then begin an amazing hike in the Falling Waters Nature Reserve into remote virgin cloud forest surrounding the base of Volcan Baru. The trail parallels Quebrada La Mina, a gorgeous creek that meanders through the ridges and valleys above Boquete. We will explore an underground cavern, enjoy a picnic at the base of one of the most exquisite waterfalls in Boquete and rejuvenate yourself with an invigorating shower under the falls. Return to Boquete and visit the La Luna coffee farm for an incredible tasting, roasting and informative trip to one of Boquete’s most beautiful private farms. Return to your hotel. Lunch included.
Day 2:
Spectacular Whitewater Rafting on the World Famous Chiriqui Viejo.
With more than 35 world-class Whitewater runs in Panama’s Chiriqui province alone, there is no paddling destination more extraordinary than Panama! For this trip, we will drive about an hour and a half from Boquete to Rio Chiriqui Viejo, near Panama’s border with Costa Rica. Originating on the northwest side of Volcan Baru, the Viejo is 128km long in total and offers several different sections of excellent Whitewater, ranging from class 2 to class 5. The section we select for your trip will depend on water levels for the trip day, your prior rafting experience, skill and desire. Regardless of the section that we choose, if you are looking for a heart-pounding glimpse of what makes Panama’s White-water famous around the globe, look no further! The Rio Chirqui Viejo is a must-do for you! Return to Boquete to your hotel. Lunch included.
Day 3:
Explore, sea kayak, snorkel, and play in the Golfo de Chiriqui National Marine Park.
From Boquete, we drive to Pedregal, a small fishing village just a few minutes outside David, Panama. From there, we’ll pass through the mangrove forested islands of Laguna de Chiriqui as we make our toward Golfo De Chiriqui National Marine Park, a 14,740 hectare marine park that encompasses many uninhabited islands and serves as a refuge for howler monkeys, leatherback and hawksbill turtles, dolphins, tiger herons and scores of exotic fish. We’ll go to a few of our favorite snorkeling spots and pass the days sea kayaking, swimming, fishing from the island and relaxing in hammocks. Lunch included.
